October/Fall is here!!

I am so happy that my favorite month is here! I love October! You can really see the beginning of fall in October. My birthday also falls on October 28th and I turn the big 2-6 this year (eek!). But what really excites me the most for October is HALLOWEEN!! I'm not particularly fond of dressing up, but I enjoy decorating my house and driving by decorated houses around the area. I get so excited which is probably just the kid in me. When I see Halloween stuff in the stores, I immediately go to that section. I carved my first pumpkins last year and it was just so fun. I love giving out candy to the children that come Halloween night and get so excited when I hear them commenting on the decorations. Some of the costumes are just so adorable and creative. I hope this October is a good one! These are the pumpkins from last year.

Fall is also my favorite season. I love seeing leaves turning orange, red, brown and yellow and falling to the ground. I love the cool weather (even though it's super hot right now in Los Angeles), scarves, mittens, and snuggling up to a movie and hot chocolate. The smell of baked goods smell even better in the fall for some reason. I absolutely love the Pumpkin Spice lattes/fraps at Starbucks and wish it wasn't seasonal. When I see a new food item with pumpkin on the menu, I feel like I just have to try it. This year, I'm going to try to bake some new things that I hope will turn out yummy. Fall also means Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are just around the corner! I love family gatherings and all of the great memories. My cousin's also getting married next month so that'll be so awesome. I am so excited fall is here and hope it the weather starts to feel like it soon!

  1. cute pumpkins - for some reason I can't carve a decent pumpkin. I try every year, but I always cut out the wrong piece or something else silly.

  2. Thanks! I printed them out from the internet, cut it out and then taped them onto the pumpkins. I trace them and then carve. I'm excited to choose this year's!
